IT'S ALMOST UNLUCKY NUMBER 13 FOR BLUES

BRETT NEAL'S injury-time winner made it 13 wins on the bounce for Rustington Football Club on Saturday.

Rustington's performance, like the weather, was miserable and unpredictable at times but their winning streak continued.

It was a somewhat fortuitous decision that helped Rustington get the winner. The referee gave Rustington a corner when the ball had appeared to come off Rustington defender Russ Tomlinson.

From Richie Hellen's kick, Neal fired home from six yards for his fifth goal of the season.

Uckfield had taken the lead on two minutes through the first of their two deflected goals. A free kick from the left came off Hellen and flew past keeper Andy McCarthy.

Blues equalised five minutes later. Sean Duffy's inch-perfect cross was tucked home by top-scorer Andy Smart for his 19th goal of the season.
