KING ESCAPES SAVAGE BAN

Rooks manager Steve King has escaped a possible six-month total football ban. The threatened ban was for alleged abusive and insulting language to an official during a Weymouth-Lewes match last season.

The Lewes FC boss appealed at the FA offices on Wednesday and was given a two-month touchline ban which will run from September 1 to October 31. He will be able to attend games but will not be permitted in the technical area.
