LAST-GASP SEAN DOES IT

SEAN DUFFY'S 87th-minute winner eased East Preston into the semi-finals of the Brighton Charity Cup at The Lashmar on Saturday.

Saltdean played the majority of the second half with 10 men after Scott Reid was dismissed by Bognor referee Nigel Baker for reported violent conduct a head-butt on Dave Walker.

It was a shame, as a very entertaining match was taking shape. Saltdean, who welcomed Reid and Brad Dougal back to the starting line-up, had fallen behind in the 24th minute. Reid, who will want to forget this match, brought down Matt Huckett, and a penalty was given. Huckett scored it but the lead lasted only eight minutes.

Dougal played a free kick to the ever improving Barry Allen, who flicked the ball up and then fired a stunning volley into the top left hand corner.
