The Greater Brighton Metropolitan College (MET) – formerly City College – said it was ‘delighted’ to announce the partnership.

The Hawks, based in East Brighton, started their 2018/19 season in the Bostik Premier League with a 4-2 home win against Harlow Town on August 11. The MET logo will feature on the front of the home and away first team shirts, as well as the club’s successful under-18s home and away shirts.

Lucie Coxon, head of marketing and student recruitment at the MET, said: “We can’t wait to see the teams run out in their new MET branded kit and we are excited at the prospect of working with a grass-roots, inclusive, and community-focussed organisation. Through supporting The Hawks we look forward to continuing our engagement with the local community and raising awareness for both the football club and the MET.”

Kevin Miller, head of commercial at Whitehawk FC, said: “I am delighted to welcome the staff and students of the MET to Whitehawk FC. As we began to discuss how we could work together it became clear that there is a tremendous opportunity for both parties to create a pioneering partnership, and the club can play an active part in creating many opportunities to pave the way for much needed experience for our region’s student population, something in the current climate we believe is essential.”
