Rocks Review: Squad boosted by duo's arrival

The Rocks have added two new players to the squad - and both will be available for selection at home to Eastbourne Town on Saturday.

Ben Andrews will be familiar to many at Nyewood Lane, having played for Worthing against Bognor on several occasions.

Having also played for Horsham, he has been at Tonbridge Angels for the past two years. Andres, who is 6ft 2 and lives in Pulborough, is equally at home as a striker or in the centre of defence

Dan Sackman, who played briefly for Bognor some years ago, has also joined. The defender, from Chichester, moved to Stetson University in Florida on a football scholarship several years ago, and was an ever present in 2009 and 2010 for his University.

He impressed sufficiently to attract the attentions of Central Florida Kraze who play in the US Professional Development League, where he has played in 2011. Although Sackman will return to Florida in the spring, he is a useful short-term addition to the squad.

It means the Rocks have now signed four players - Steve Harper and Callum Sheriff being the other two - since losing four in the first couple of months of the season.
