Now in its 19th year, Brighton and Hove Calendar 2019 brings together the very best images of the city by local photographers.

Nigel Swallow, who curates the calendar, said: “I hope the calendar infuses the positive characteristics locals recognise in their home. The city as a physical entity obviously – but more so the people and the vibe they create within it.

“Brighton and Hove is bold, it’s beautiful, it’s soft, it’s brash, diverse, quirky, crass, creative and often cheeky.

“All amidst a backdrop of iconic landscapes and nature doing it’s best to ‘wow’ us all with its seafront shenanigans. It’s a heady mix – the calendar attempts to embrace that and simply be a witness to it all with the images used in the calendar.”

The calendar is £8.99 or two for £15 and can be purchased from tomorrow (Saturday) at: Brighton Photography Gallery at Kings Road Arches; City Books on Western Road; outside ‘Granier’ opposite Primark on Western Road; and online at brightoncalendar.com

It will also be available from outside Waikikamookau at Kensington Gardens from November 5.
