Goodwood Revival unveiled: full line up for motor racing’s Sussex highlight revealed, plus ticket availability
Vintage fashion and retro cars are big news – and nothing celebrates them quite so much as the magnificent Goodwood Revival, which takes place from 8-10 September, and tickets are now limited.
It’s not only for racing fans, there’s plenty for everyone to enjoy at all ages. From plenty of fun at the fair, to the biggest celebration of vintage lifestyle with the finest fashion, it’s not to the missed.
This year’s on-track highlights include tributes to, and celebrations of, iconic names in motorsport, and vintage cars running on sustainable fuels for the first time, vying for glory in the Fordwater Trophy.
Off track there’s vintage fashion to try or to buy, dress up for a fully immersive experience and you might even win a prize in the famous Best Dressed Competition. There’s even a chance for a 1940s, 1950s or 1960s hair makeover if you book an appointment in Betty’s Salon – don’t forget your camera!
Restoration and repurposing are the name of the game in a series of Revive & Thrive workshops, demos, and talks, which aim to keep the love in pre-loved to help restore cherished items and help us all do our bit for sustainability.
In what would have been his 100th year, Goodwood Revival revels in the talent of Carroll Shelby. Expect to see his classics like the AC Cobra and Shelby Daytona Coupe on display and being put to the test in thrilling high-speed races.
The Freddie March Spirit of Aviation collection – vintage planes with grace and elegance which have got to be seen up close to fully appreciate – will also be on display.
Away from the track there’s shopping galore, foodie delights, the Over the Road funfair, Bonham’s Auction house where treasured classics go under the hammer, and even a Sky Cinema big screen to relax and enjoy some cinematic favourites.
