A free two-day training course for job-seekers begins this week at the Amex and continues at the American Express building in John Street, Brighton the following week.
The event is open to people who are aged 19 and over, who are looking for the skills, resources and confidence to find work or pursue a new career.
It has been organised by Albion in the Community (AITC), Brighton & Hove Albion’s official charity, in partnership with American Express.
Get Ready to Work takes place from 9am-4pm on Thursday April 27 at the American Express Community Stadium and Thursday May 4 at Amex, 1 John Street.
Sessions include: analysis of career goals and aspirations, job search/routes to employment, CV, application form and covering letter writing or refinement, interview techniques, social networking and communication skills.
AITC staff and Amex employees provide mentoring to participants to help facilitate their job search, entry into further learning, apprenticeships, work experience or volunteering.
Places are limited and pre-booking is essential.
