Global security firm expands Brighton base

Paxton, a Brighton-based manufacturer of security systems for smart buildings, has opened a new state-of-the-art centre for technology and innovation alongside its current head office.

The company, which exports to more than 60 countries worldwide, has opened its Paxton Technology Centre just off Lewes Road in Moulsecoomb, which will be home to its product research and development departments.

Adam Stroud, Paxton’s group chief executive, said: “We are delighted with our new facility and feel it’s a real statement of intent showing the direction the company is moving.

“We love being based in Brighton and for over 30 years we have been proud of our Sussex roots, having first established the business in Lewes before moving to Brighton in 2004.
