Harold's gift to Ardath
The model has been generously donated by Harold Ransom, long time visitor and friend of Ardath and his partner Olive Hammond, who is a resident.
The windmill was built by Harold himself in 2006 and took pride of place on his allotment.

It was then that Olive came up with the thought of donating it to Ardath - an idea that appealed to Harold.
Jane Narborough, Care Home Manager at Ardath, said: "We're all delighted with this generous gift. We have always really appreciated
Harold's generosity, enjoying his company during his regular visits as well as his accordion playing, which both residents and staff always enjoy. "This gift is lovely, it totally transforms our patio area."

Harold was on hand with paint and brush to do any final retouching as it was reassembled. All went smoothly though and it now stands proudly in its new home - to be enjoyed by residents, visitors and staff for years to come.
