‘Grow It Cook It Eat It’ event for Horsham schools
It has been decided therefore to hold a special ‘Grow It Cook It Eat It’ event on Saturday 30th November to link with the commemorations of the First World War. To ask schools to make use of their land to grow vegetables so that the children will understand that there was a need for more food to be grown.
The session begins at 10.30 a.m when Jean Griffin of BBC Sussex will demonstrate ‘potting up and potting on’

There will be Pumpkin Soup and a roll available from Stooks.
We thought that members of staff who run a gardening club or enjoy gardening and wish to do more with the children could attend. This could also be any parent or member of the PTA.
Once some links are established we are hoping to follow up this event with another one in the Spring term when Nigel will be planting up his allotment for the 2014 season.
