You can now support Eastbourne’s First Responders by entering a local lottery with a chance to win £25,000.

To help with fundraising the Community First Responders now have their own page within the Eastbourne Local Lottery. The responders have a traditional collection team too but this is another way people can donate.

The team is made up of volunteers trained and dispatched by the South East Coast Ambulance Service to provide a first response to 999 calls that are close to where they live/work. Their task is to manage the situation until the paramedics arrive, then the paramedics take over.

A spokesperson for the team said: “With the ambulance service in crisis, we need the first responders to help save lives today, tomorrow and next year.”
