The fledgling promotion have pulled out all the stops for “Riptide Wrestling: Returns” at the Brighthelm Centre on Thursday, assembling a world-class roster of performers for their second show.

Three of the standout names on the card are the reigning WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne, Trent Seven and Tyler Bate – collectively known as British Strong Style. The trio have become one of the most popular factions in British wrestling since appearing in the tournament to crown the inaugural WWE UK Champion, which was won by Bate in January.

Dunne and Bate put on a phenomenal performance in front of millions of viewers at NXT’s Takeover Chicago event last month, which WWE have ranked as their best mach of 2017 so far, ahead of bouts featuring the likes of John Cena, AJ Styles and Roman Reigns.

They face off against the American trio of “The World’s Cutest Tag Team” Joey Ryan and Candace LaRae, and Colt Cabana, host of the popular Art of Wrestling podcast.

Headlining the event will be two of British Wrestling’s biggest stars, as Jimmy Havoc squares off with “The Villain” Marty Scurll. Havoc established himself as arguably the best heel in the country, if not the world, with his 600-plus day run as PROGRESS Champion between 2013-15, and became the first ever Brit to win CZW’s Tournament of Death in June this year.

Scurll has found success overseas in the past year with American promotion Ring of Honor, and more recently in New Japan Pro Wrestling since joining the infamous Bullet Club faction in May.
